ATLAS is the transactional currency used throughout the metaverse and the lubricant of the digital economy. It is often being compared to what is often called "in-game gold" in other games. ATLAS is used for virtually every transaction within the metaverse, and it will also be one of the primary financial reward mechanisms for its inhabitants.[1]

Discount[edit source]

Originally the intent was to have ATLAS provide a 33% discount on certain asset purchases from the developer such as Ships and Components.[2] This feature however did not make it into the final tokenomics.[3]
